Vaso Allayianni

Next to Manos Loizos and Notis Mavroudis, she studied music and started writing her own songs. When her teachers and aspirators listened to her songs, they encouraged her to become involved with music professionally. It's worth mentioning that within those first songs that she wrote, there were some magnificent ones such as 'Glaros' (later Manolis Lidakis sang it).
Her debout in discography had a tremendous impact to the audience. It was "Haratsi" (1982), in which with Manolis Rassouli's lyrics she wrote 'Hydrohoos' and 'Lemoni stin Portokalia', for Nikos Papazoglou's voice.
In 1990 was released the album "Synerga" by Nikos Papazoglou. It was then that Allayianni wrote for Nikos the song "Apopse Siopiloi" (music and lyrics by Allayianni), one of the best 'zeimpekikos' that had ever be written in Greece .

The big success of the trio Allayianni - Rassoulis - Papazoglou brought in 1991 the song "Ah Ellada", that became the new anthem that touches the soul of the Greeks (CD: "Sto Likavito").
Allayianni after this great success, collaborates in discography with some of the best Greek singers, like Manolis Lidakis ("4 kikli tragoudion", 1995), Voula Savvidi ("To filima tou hronou" 1992), Pitsa Papadopoulou ("Me ta matia kleista", 1994), Stavros Logaridis ("Oniremenes Polities", 1996), Haroula Alexiou ("Paraxeno Fos", 2000), Dimitris Bassis ("Milao Hronia", 2000) and others (since 1992 she has been writing lyrics herself).
Her songs have become turning points for the Greek music, and therefore are included in the repertoire of the live performances of the most famous Greek singers. She has presented her work in Greece and abroad; one of her most important performances is the concert at Likavitos with Manolis Rassoulis.
Vasso Allayianni comes now with the record "Svarno" (LM032-2, LIBRA MUSIC 2004) in order to make an inventory but at the same time an in-depth confession. It is the conclusion of a long and successful career.
