From Aeolia, the island of the Ancient Greek god Aeolos, the winds are traveling to four points of the horizon, bringing the sounds and scents of the music of Mediterranean. The compositions by Michalis Nikoloudis meet at the crossroads of the East and the West and give breath to the wind. They spread out to the open sea, knowing the vast Greek tradition of music is their safe harbor. Light and sea, wind and salinity are the four elements that compose the sonic world of Nikoloudis. Mandola, oud, violin, bouzouki, ney, percussion, kalimba, tuba, synthesizers, acoustic guitar and bass are the instruments that color this world. Gerasimos Andreatos, Sofia Tserou and Vasilis Skoulas perform the five songs of the album that on a whole includes eight instrumental tracks. The collaboration of renowned musicias (Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Haig Yazdjian) adds to this excellent album.
