| The clarinet first made its appearance in Greece around 1835, with the vagrant gypsy musicians. Its vast performing capabilities placed it as the primary instrument of Greek music tradition. This CD includes improvisations of unique inspiration and clarity, from the most renowned clarinet artist in Greece, Vassilis Soukas. Six compositions that span from the later byzantinian paths of expression, initiate us to the mustagogy of pure improvisations. This particular album was initially released in LP format from the label PRAXIS by Costas Yiannoulopoulos, and is no longer in circulation. LIBRA MUSIC appreciating the timeliness of this opus, decided its' re-issue.
