| This the first recording of a quartet of duduks (soprano, tenor, baritone and bass). An innovation in the long tradition of the Armenian wind instrument duduk, inspired by the musician Djivan Gasparyan. This newly found musical form expresses through 'NAZELI' the continuous search of whatever exceeds us. And the soul … glooms. The glooming of the soul that opens to the greatness of the search. In the back cover, deep wrinkles carved into the face of Gasparyan, testify that he has felt the grandness of this search but also the anguish of its loss. His performance (in the two songs included in the album) uplifts the earthly to the spiritual level, which harmoniously blends in with the sound of the quartet.
