Lizeta Kalimeri

Lizeta Kalimeri was born in 1969 in Thessaloniki. Since she was a little girl she has been playing guitar and singing. It wasn't much later when she started performing her favorite songs in the local music scene. She has performed with Nikos Kypourgos, Socratis Malamas, Orfeas Peridis, Nikos Xidakis, Christos Tsiamoulis, Loudovikos ton Anogion, Stavros Kougioumtzis, Thanasis Papakonstantinou, Haris Alexiou, Maria Farantouri, Manolis Lidakis, Alkinoos Ioannidis, Vasso Allayianni, Manolis Rasoulis, Eleni Vitali, Lavrentis Maheritsas, Manolis Mitsias, Melina Kana, Savina Yiannatou, Hronis Aidonidis, Halil Karaduman and others.

DISCOGRAPHY:

1994 : Her debut album 'Pnoi tou anemou' with songs of Giorgos Kazantzis.

1996 : Kalimeri and Mario release the album 'Asiatidos Mousis Eraste' with songs of Kafe Aman. At the same year she features in Michalis Papazisis' album 'Tou taxidiou ta kivdila' with the song 'Itan aeras'.

1997 : Her second personal album 'Zoi lathrea' is released with songs of Mjchalis Haniotis and the orchestration of Kostas Theodorou. Two songs become listeners' favorites: 'Diosmos kai kanela' and 'Paravates'. She also participates in the album of Loudovikos ton Anogion "Pili tis ammou" with two songs 'Salomi' and '12 ta ohi'. 1998: Participates in Thomas Korovinis' album "Takimia" and in Thomas Petros' album 'Lefko mantili sto skotadi'.

1999: Kalimeri takes part in the cd of Loudovikos ton Anogion 'To ohi apokimithike stin agalia tou ne'. She performs with Mario in Berlin in "Haus der Kulturen der Welt" where they present songs of Kafe Aman.

2000 : The album 'O anthos tou tragoudiou' is released including some of her best songs, as well as a new one by Christos Tsiamoulis. The same year Kalimeri participates in the albums: 'Teseris dromi gia ton Erotokrito' (four approaches to the legend of Erotokritos), '18-tribute to Yannis Markopoulos' and 'Vrahnos Profitis' (by Thanasis Papakonstantinou).

2001 : She features in the cd of Nikos Kypourgos 'Ta mistika tou kipou'. And the cd of the group 'Omadiki Apodrasi' "Cartoons".

2002: Features in Haris Alexiou's album "Haris Alexiou Cine Keramikos Live" with a song of Yiorgos Zambetas. She also features in Notis Mavroudis' album 'Stin iho tou erota'. The same year Kalimeri participates in Nikos Kypourgos' opera 'O Digenis Akritas ke i Vasillisa ton Amazonon' in the Odeon of Herod Atticus under the direction of Nikos Koundouros.

2003: Participates in the album of Loudovikos ton Anogion 'I giorti ton anemon'. She performs next to Savina Yiannatou, Hroni Aidonidi, Maria Farantouri, Alkinoos Ioannidis, in the minstrel of Nikos Kypourgos 'KIPOTHEATRO' at the Megaron (Athens Concert Hall). Participates in the cd of Tasos Grous and Anthoula Athanasiadou 'Ta tragoudia tis Pandoras' along with Kristy Stasinopoulou.

2004 : Her new personal album "Lonely land" (LM033-2, LIBRA MUSIC) is released with music of ChristosTsiamoulis. In the album features Manolis Lidakis, some of the best Greek musicians (Vavatsikas, Pappos, Sinopoulos, Sidirokastritis, Karipis) and three special guests from Turkey, Erkan Ogur, Halil Karaduman and Ercan Irmak. The album was voted as one of the best of the year (Difono Magazine).

2005 : Kalimeri participates in the album of Antonis Apergis 'Icaros' (LM037-2, LIBRA MUSIC), with the song "Sea and sky".
