Yiota Nega

 

Born in Athens , she started her carrier when she was 18 years of age. At that period she collaborated with Nikos Dimitratos and Angelos Repanis, singing Greek rebetika songs. In 2001 she met Panayiotis Kalatzopoulos, Evanthia Rebutsika and Elli Paspala, participating in their live concerts. Her debut in discography was in 2003, releasing the cd-single "Me Ta Matia Kleista" (Cantini), that took very good critics. The same year she collaborated with Gerasimos Andreatos in his live performances. In 2004 she started her collaboration with "Estudiantina" orchestra. The winter of this year found Yiota Nega participating in the live performances of "Estudiantina", Eleni Tsaligopoulou and Dimitris Zervoudakis. The summer of 2004 she took part in the concert of Yiorgos Dalaras, at the Concert Hall of Athens (Megaron).

Also, in 2004, Yiota Nega featured in the album of Odysseas Tsakalos "Fylaki Me Orthanihti Porta", and in the end of the year she released her first personal album with Vangelis Korakakis, titled "To Velos" (Cantini). In the end of 2004 LIBRA MUSIC released the album of Manolis Galitsos "The wizards Games" (LM036-2), where Yiota Nega sings the song " The invisible star".
